Description

This invention relates to chimney pipe elbow Such arrangements may be for example to connec the outlet chimney pipe of a boiler or furnace to a chimney pipe built into a According to the present invention there is a chimney pipe elbow arrangement a first tubular member of rectangular cross section having a chimney pipe connected and a second tubular member of rectangular cross section adapted to slide teleseopically over the first the free end of the second member being Pour chimney pipe elbow arrangements in accordance with the present invention will now be described by way of example ith reference to the accompanying in 1 is a diagrammatic representation of the first 2 and 3 are longitudinal shown in of the second and third and 4 is a front elevation of the fourth Referring to the first chimney pipe elbow arrangement comprises first and second tubular members 1 and 2 of rectangular which can slide teleseopically relative to one The second member is fitted over the first member 1 and has a recess 3 which engages about a chimney pipe connecting piece 4 of the first member 1 when in the fully inserted The second member 2 is open at both ends and the free end 5 can therefore be for in the wall of a Referring to in the second arrangement the second member 2 is provided at the free end 6 with a chimney pipe connecting piece 7 of circular cross The end of the connecting piece 7 has a plate 8 taining an in which is inserted the free end 6 of the second member Preferably the free end 6 the second member 2 fits the aperture in the plate 8 in an easily detachable For this purpose the free 6 of the second member 2 has an outwardly folded edge 9 engaging over the inner edge 10 of the plate It is then sufficient to insert the second member 2 in the aperture in the plate 8 until the folded edge 9 lies over the edge By this simple method the second member 2 is suspended from the plate The folded edge 9 may also engage about the edge 10 of the plate and a flange 11 is provided exterior to the connecting piece In the second shown in the ing piece 7 has a diameter which is larger than the rectangular outline of the second member In the third arrangement in the chimney pipe connecting piece 12 has a diameter which is smaller than the rectangular outline of the second member The wall of the connecting piece 12 therefore has diametrically opposed extensions 13 overlap the edges 15 of the second member 2 and project beyond the plate 14 of the connecting piece Referring to in the fourth arrangement the free end of the second member 2 merges integrall with a ing pipe chimney piece 17 of circuit cross section by way of an intervening tapering Various other modifications may of course made without departing from the invention as defined by the appended insufficientOCRQuality
