Description

A VIBRATION DAMPER APPARATUS Subject of the Invention and Technical Field The invention relates to a vibration damper used to dampen the vibrations that occur in the length stud elements of hydraulic rock breakers. The invention relates to a vibration-damping elastic apparatus that can be easily assembled and disassembled thanks to a slot formed from one side to the other and used in length studs.
State of the Art Today, hydraulic rock breakers are attachments that work by converting hydraulic energy into impact energy and take the energy required for their work from tracked or rubber-wheeled vehicles such as the excavator they are mounted on. Depending on the structure of the crusher, the mechanically generated power transforms into cutting, shearing, impact or pressure force and breaks the rocks. Hydraulic rock breakers are used in many areas of the construction and mining industry such as building demolition processes in the city, marble quarries where the use of explosive materials is not appropriate, road paving and sewerage system works. Basically, hydraulic rock breakers consist of a rear head, a cylinder mounted below the rear head, a front head mounted at the bottom of the cylinder, and a piston that moves up and down in the cylinder and a hammer tip located in the front head. In general, a connecting element is needed so that the upper head, the cylinder in which the piston moves, and the front head, where the breaker tip is connected, can stay together during operation. A kind of metal rod called length stud is used to join these parts, or in other words, the components, which show a rectangular geometrical structure.
In the state of the art, there are four holes in each of the rear head, cylinder and front head elements of hydraulic rock breakers. Length studs pass through these holes and ensure that the hydraulic rock breaker body stays in one piece. During the work of hydraulic rock breakers, in length studs, cracks occur in the length studs due to factors such as stresses affecting especially the junction points, and vibrations occurring especially in the front head equipped with the hammer tip during the operation of the hydraulic rock breaker. Failure to detect these cracks causes great damage to the head areas of the crusher and the piston. Various improvements have been made in order to prevent this situation and to dampen the vibrations that occur in length deviations. One of these improvements is that a part of the length studs is placed inside a mold with a cylindrical inner surface and covered with a kind of flexible plastic with vibration damper properties by casting method. These flexible plastic or rubber coatings are called lug studs in the industry. In the state of the art, polyurethane-based polymers are used as raw materials in plastic coatings applied to length studs due to their high durability and elastic properties in application.
In the state of the art, an apparatus consisting of two compression parts used to fix high pressure fuel lines is mentioned in the patent document number DE102007020498B3. A clamping bolt is used to clamp this two-piece clamping apparatus together.
In the state of the art, the patent document numbered CN112095447A is about a passive adjustable circular mass damper added to the structure to prevent wind-induced vibrations occurring in the stabilizer cables used in suspension bridges.
In the state of the art, in another patent document numbered EP1873435A1; An axial damper is mentioned, the dimensions of which vary according to the element to be damped and the support structure, which can preferably be applied to elements of cylindrical, rectangular or square cross-section, such as pipelines, tanks or supporting structures.
As can be seen in the patent documents shared above, there are various inventions that can be mounted and disassembled, which function as vibration damper by grasping the outer surfaces of cylindrical structures. These mentioned inventions are used to dampen the vibrations that occur in structures such as suspension bridges and pipelines apart from hydraulic rock breakers, and they basically perform the damping task by connecting the element they grasp to an element with high stability, but the aforementioned inventions do not have the function to solve the problems existing in the length stud elements of hydraulic rock breakers.
During the operation of hydraulic rock breakers, the plastic coatings on the length studs wear out over time and lose their properties. After a certain period of time, it is obligatory to renew the plastic coatings, but in the current situation, this work has to be done in a separate area, such as a foundry, due to the fact that vibration-damping length studs are mounted on them by casting method. There are many problems that cause loss of time and money, such as the hydraulic rock breaker waiting for a long time, the establishment of a foundry in the working areas or the sending of the removed studs to the foundry by a vehicle. Especially considering that the working areas of hydraulic rock breakers vary spatially, the necessity of processing length studs in a foundry remains a major problem.
Technical Problems That the Invention Aims to Solve With the invention, it is aimed a damper made of elastic material that can be easily mounted and disassembled thanks to the slot formed from one side to the other, which is formed to dampen the vibrations that occur in the length studs used as a joining element in the body parts of hydraulic rock breakers. In this direction, as an alternative to the plastic coatings applied to the length studs by casting method, it is aimed to obtain an apparatus made of vibration-damping elastic material that can be easily mounted and disassembled in a way that surrounds them all around.
The most important advantage of the invention is that it eliminates the necessity of molding the length studs by sending them to a foundry for the renewal of the coating plastics, or in other words, the length studs, and provides an easy assembly to the length studs.
Another advantage of the invention is that it provides the opportunity to be used as spare parts in length studs since they are manufactured separately from the length studs. Thus, many problems that cause loss of time and money such as waiting for a long time for the hydraulic rock breaker, establishing a foundry in the working areas or sending the removed studs to the foundry with a vehicle will be solved. Figures will be used to better understand the vibration damper apparatus of the invention.

Rear head x- Opening direction of mounting slot y- Closing direction of the mounting slot Explanation of the Invention With the vibration damper, which is the subject of the invention, a damper made of elastic material, which can be easily mounted and disassembled, is aimed at absorbing the vibrations occurring in the length studs used as a connection element in the body parts of hydraulic rock breakers, thanks to the slot formed from one side to the other. Said elastic material is a material that resists deformation caused by external forces and has the ability to return to its original shape and dimensions when external forces are no longer applied. Although the subject of the invention is described over hydraulic rock breakers, this should not be restrictive, the invention should be considered in the broadest sense.
Pictures will be used to explain the vibration damper apparatus (1) in more detail, which is the subject of the invention; however, the pictures used should not be binding as there may be changes in picture constructions, dimensions or device details.
In Figure-1, the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is shown on the length studs (2) attached to the front head (3). In Figure-2, the exploded picture of the hydraulic rock breaker is given, as can be seen here, the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is positioned on the length stud (2). Said length stud (2), on the other hand, serves to connect the rear head (5), the cylinder (4) and the front head (3). The perspective view of the length stud (2), which is the subject of the invention, on which the vibration damper apparatus (1) is mounted and there are generally four in hydraulic rock breakers, is as given in Figure-3. The perspective view of the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is given in Figure-4. Accordingly, the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, includes a mounting slot (1a), formed from one side to the other, on one side of the vibration damper apparatus (1) that allows it to be opened and closed. By opening the said mounting slot (1a), the vibration damper apparatus (1) of the invention is mounted to the length stud (2).
The vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, includes at least one mounting channel (1c) on its inner surface and at least one mounting knuckle (1b) on its outer surface, in addition to a mounting slot (1a). The full cross-section view of the vibration damper apparatus (1) is shown in Figure-5 of the mentioned mounting channel (1c) and mounting knuckle (1b). Figure-6 and Figure-are the front projections of the vibration damper apparatus (1). The mounting slot (1a) seen in the closed position in Figure-6 is seen in a slightly opened position in Figure-7.
While the arrows coded with the x sign in the aforementioned way show the opening direction required to attach the vibration damper apparatus (1) to the length stud (2), the arrows coded with the y sign indicate the closing direction required for the vibration damper apparatus (1) to be fixed on the length stud (2).
One mounting slot (1a) that allows the vibration damper apparatus (1) of the invention to be mounted and dismounted includes at least one mounting channel (1c) on the inner surface of the said apparatus, and at least one mounting knuckle (1b) on the outer surface of the apparatus.
Vibration damper apparatus (1), which is mounted on the length stud (2) by opening the said mounting slot (1a), is placed on the protrusions on the length stud (2) with mounting channels (1c). The vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is preferably fixed with belts to ensure that it remains rigid in its position. The fixing element such as strap etc. fixes the vibration damper apparatus (1) to the length stud (2) by passing through the mounting knuckles (1b) positioned on the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention.
The vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is made of an elastic material so that the hydraulic rock breaker can maintain its structural feature for a long time against the forces it is exposed to by absorbing the vibrations that occur in the length studs (2) during its operation. The material in question may be a polyurethane-based polymer material, or it may be a rubber or composite material. There is a mounting slot (1a) formed throughout the two ends of the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, allowing it to be opened and closed. Said mounting slot (1a) may be in the form of a linear or curved line, or it may be in the form of a zigzag configuration.
As a result of pulling the mounting slot (1a) towards the opening direction (x), it is ensured that the length stud (2) is opened in an amount that can be easily mounted or disassembled. Thanks to the elastic structure of the vibration damper apparatus (1), the mounting slot (1a) moves towards the closing direction (y) without the need for an external force and fits on the length stud (2). There are preferably two mounting channels (1c) on the inner surface of the vibration damper apparatus (1). On the outer surface of the vibration damper apparatus (1), there are mounting knuckles (1b) to which the fixing straps are attached.
The mounting channels (1c) that fit on the protrusions on the length studs (2) and the mounting knuckles (1b), which are preferably fixed by means of belts, will ensure that the vibration damper apparatus (1) can remain rigidly on the length stud (2).
The distance between the inner surface and the outer surface of the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is configured to have such a thickness that it allows the mounting channels (1c) and mounting knuckles (1b) to be formed. This thickness allows the outer surface of the vibration damper apparatus (1) to be designed in different geometrical shapes. The shape of the outer surface of the vibration damper apparatus (1) containing mounting channels (1c) suitable for the length stud (2), including mounting knuckles (1b) to remain constant, the shape of its outer surface containing mounting knuckles (1b) will be either a regular polygonal right prism with a base of at least four base sides or a circular base cylindrical. When the vibration damper apparatus (1), which is the subject of the invention, is designed as a regular polygonal right prism, it can be in different forms, such as a rectangular right prism if the number of bases is four, and a hexagonal right prism if it is six.
