DETAILED DESCRIPTION The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of embodiments of the invention, which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features are not described in detail.
The reference numbers have been used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein, in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the 300619/2 foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.
Fig. 1 is a front perspective view of an iron according to one embodiment of the invention at its compact state.
An iron 10 according to one embodiment includes a horizontal rod 14A; a controlling assembly 18A disposed at a first end of horizontal rod 14A; a controlling assembly 18B disposed at a second end of horizontal rod 14A.
Fig. 2 is the view of Fig. 1 at its working state.
Iron 10 further includes an elongated heatable body 20A extending from controlling assemblies 18A and 18B via wires 30A1 and 30B1; and an elongated heatable body 20B extending from controlling assemblies 18A and 18B via wires 30A2 and 30B2.
Fig. 3 is a front perspective view of the iron of Fig. 2 being hooked and a garment being attached thereto.
Hooks 12 extend from horizontal rod 14A for hanging rod 14A on a horizontal rod 72, such as of a cupboard 88 of a hotel.
Garment fasteners 16 extend from horizontal rod 72.
At the first step the top 74A of a garment 24 is fastened to fasteners 16. 300619/2 Fig. 4 is a side view of Fig. 3 of the first step.
At this first step, wires 30A1 and 30A2 hang heatable bodies 20A and 20B away from one another forming a gap 78 therebetween.
Thus, further at the first step, the portion 74B of garment 24 below top 74A thereof is threaded into gap 78 between elongated heatable bodies 20A and 20B.
Fig. 5 is the side view of Fig. 4 at the second step.
At the second step, being upon operating the iron, motors 36A of controlling assembly 18A slide (60A) the top of wire 30A1 and the top of wire 30A2 one towards the other, thus tilting wires 30A1.
Tilt 80B of wire 30A1 together with the weight of heatable body 20B produces horizontal force 64B of heatable body 20B towards heatable body 20A; and tilt 80A of wire 30A2 together with the weight of heatable body 20A produces horizontal force 64A of heatable body 20B towards heatable body 20B.
Thus, heatable bodies 20A and 20B both meet garment 24.
Fig. 6 is the side view of Fig. 4 at the third step.
At the third step, controlling assembly 18A releases wires 30A1 and 30A2, such as by rotating wheels 36B, preferably by motors, thus heatable bodies 20a and 20B descend (28A) by gravity, while meeting garment 24, thus 300619/2 streching it, and while being heated by resistive heating elements 66.
Each of wires 30A1, 30A2, 30B1 and 30B2 includes electrical contact and physical contact, each contact including separate wires; and may further include a water pipe 84 for supplying steam to nozzles 82.
Moving elements 30A, 30B and 30C may include manual and motorized elements including wheels, and they may be located within the rod 14A and/or controlling assembly 18A and/or heatable bodies 20A.
Fig. 7 is the view of Fig. 3 upon completing the third step.
Referring again to Fig. 4, at the fourth step, manual sliding elements 36A or motors of controlling assembly 18A may slide (60B) the top of wire 30A1 and the top of wire 30A2 away from one another, thus canceling tilts 80B and 80A of wires 30A1 and 30A2 respectively to form gap 78 again between heatable bodies 20A and 20B; and motors 36B may then collect wires 30A1 and 30A2 for lifting heatable bodies 20A and 20B, to allow a second scan of ironing of garment 24 or of another garment.
According to another embodiment, heatable bodies 20A and 20B are fixed one to the other by bars 56, and thus heatable bodies 20A and 20B are always disposed away from one another and from garment 24, thus gap 78 is constant, and the ironing is performed by nozzles 82. According to this 21/5/23 300619/2 embodiment, garment 24 is ironed as well upon lifting heatable bodies 20A and 20B.
Fig. 8 is a perspective view of the iron of Fig. 2, including a garments driver.
A garments driver 86 may accompany iron 10 for driving garments 24A, 24B, etc.
Garments driver 86 may include a strap 14B for hanging garments 24A, 24B, etc. thereon, and a motor 36C for sliding (54) strap 14B between heatable bodies 20A and 20B while having gap 78 (Fig. 4) therebetween, thus sliding garments 24A,24B,24C horizontally for ironing garment 24B after garment 24A.
Thus, in one aspect, the invention is directed to an iron (10), including: an article (14A), such as a rod, for being disposed horizontally; two near elongated heatable bodies (20A,20B), hung to the article (14A) through wires (30A1) extending vertically; and means (36B) for rolling each of the wires (30A1), for changing distance of the two elongated heatable bodies (20A,20B) from the article (14A).
A garment (24A) is hangable to the iron (10) via: the article (14A); or via a horizontally slideable strap (14B. 300619/2 The iron (10) may further include: sliding elements (36A) for horizontally sliding the two near elongated heatable bodies (20A,20B) for determining nearness therebetween.
The sliding elements (36A) may consitute sliding elements for horizontaly sliding the top of each of the wires (30A1), for titling (80A) the wires (30A1).
Each of the wires may include physical and electric contact.
Each of the wires includes a water pipe (84), for steaming onto an ironed garment (24A).
The iron (10) may further include: a garments driver (86), including a slideable (54) strap (14B) disposed between the two near elongated heatable bodies (20A,20B).
The iron (10) may further include: a hook (12) extending from the article (14A), for hanging thereof to an external rod (72).
