Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COUPLING INTEGRATED PANELS TO A WALL TECHNICAL FIELD The present disclosure relates generally to a system, including integrated panels combining thermal and aesthetical properties, and a connector/anchoring assembly for covering exterior and/or interior building walls.
BACKGROUND The constantly expanding world population raises the need in accommodating inhabitants, both in residential and commercial buildings. Furthermore, the improved standards of living dictate improved construction standards of safety, functionality, ecology, and aesthetics. Currently, wall construction typically includes coupling with premanufactured thermally insulating panels, followed by applying decorative panels or coatings. These processes are time-consuming, expensive, and require diverse manpower.
There is thus a need for improved solutions for wall construction, and specifically for coupling panels to building walls more efficiently.
SUMMARY Aspects of the disclosure, according to some embodiments thereof, relate to the construction field, and in particular to covering building walls with integrated panels.
According to some embodiments, there is provided herein a system of integrated panels combining thermal and aesthetical properties, and an anchoring assembly for covering walls, particularly exterior walls. The panels are anchored to the wall in such way that the front face of the integrated panel remains intact.
According to some embodiments, there is provided herein a system which includes two or more integrated panels (also referred to as integrated panels) and a connector/anchoring assembly. The two or more integrated panels include an upper integrated panel and a lower integrated panel for covering a wall, each of the upper and the lower integrated panels include a front face, a back face, and a plurality of peripheral faces. The front face includes a decorative layer and is configured to face outwards, while the back face includes a light weight and thermally insulating material and is configured to face the wall.
According to some embodiments, herein is disclosed a system which includes two or more integrated panels (also referred to as integrated panels) and a connector/anchoring assembly.
According to some embodiments, the connector/anchoring assembly includes a first portion configured to interconnect with the wall, and a second portion comprising at least two protuberances, an up-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with an upper integrated panel and a down-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with a lower integrated panel. Each one of the of the up-facing protuberance and the down facing protuberance is geometrically complementary to a respective groove in a peripheral face of the upper and lower integrated panel, respectively, thereby facilitating securing of the integrated panels to the wall, such that the front face of the integrated panel remains intact.
According to some embodiments, the connector/anchoring assembly includes one or more first supporting/anchoring elements and one or more second supporting/anchoring elements. The one or more first supporting/anchoring elements include at least two protuberances: an up-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with an upper integrated panel, and a down-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with a lower integrated panel. Each one of the of the up-facing protuberance and the down facing protuberance is geometrically complementary to a respective groove in a peripheral face of the upper and the lower integrated panels, respectively, thereby facilitating securing of the integrated panel during casting of the wall, such that the front face of the integrated panel remains intact.
The herein disclosed integrated panels and connecting/anchoring assembly advantageously provide a technically simple, fast, and efficient wall covering method for covering building walls. The back face includes a light weight and thermally insulating material, and configured to face the wall. Thereby, yielding a highly accelerated construction schedule operating with low costs, reducing manpower, and requiring minimum maintenance. This may be of particular importance in construction of multi-story buildings.
Moreover, since the disclosed herein method includes a concealed connector/anchoring assembly facilitating the integrated panels to remain intact during coupling thereof to the wall, it advantageously combines aesthetic properties without reducing the durability and functionality (e.g., insulating, water resisting, mechanical and other properties) of the integrated panels.
Furthermore, the disclosed herein connector/anchoring assembly is compatible with various construction methods, including on-site and off-site construction methods. The on-site construction may be beneficial due to reduced shipping costs. However, in contrast to the on-site construction, the off-site construction can be carried out at any weather conditions.
According to some embodiments, the disclosed connector/anchoring assembly includes a first portion configured to interconnect with a wall, and a second portion including at least two protuberances, an up-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with an upper integrated panel and a down-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with a lower integrated panel. According to some embodiments, each of the up-facing and down facing protuberances is geometrically complementary to a respective groove in a peripheral face of the upper and lower integrated panel, respectively, thereby facilitating securing of the integrated panels to the wall, such that the front face of the integrated panel remains intact.
According to some embodiments, the disclosed connector/anchoring assembly includes one or more first supporting/anchoring elements and one or more second supporting/anchoring elements. According to some embodiments, the one or more first supporting/anchoring elements include at least two protuberances, the at least two protuberances include an up-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with an upper integrated panel and a down-facing protuberance configured to interconnect with a lower integrated panel.
