Description

Field of the Invention The field of invention is an amusement device and a method of play which based on the old known game backgammon. The invention fundamentally changes the game of backgammon and creates a new amusement device. The invention, add interest and excitement to the well-known game, the backgammon. The substantial changes are reflected in the changes of the tools of the game, and in the change in the method of play.

Background of the invention Known as one of the classic board games, backgammon is thousands of years old is sample game which is based on a random result of rolling a dice and on simple game tactic. Over the years, the game and game methods have been changed like, adding a dice and changing rules in the ancient game, in order to add more interest to the game and an element of tactical thinking. But it did not succeed to leave the simplicity and the fun of the ancient game and at the same time insert in it elements of more interesting, thought-provoking, and exciting. These changes create a new amusement device and a new game method and thus they improve and add new elements of interest, excitement, and thought, to the classic game.
Summary of the invention This invention is for an amusement device and the method of play that based on the classic backgammon game. The invention here, amusement device and the method of play, refers to an amusement device which uses game pieces which differ in their effect on the game results and differ in their conduct in the game, and add an element whose activation determines a random result of the bonus the player will receive and the activation of the element depends on a random result of activating another element.

The invention here is an amusement device that is a game that comes to improve and change the components and method of play known as the backgammon game that originated in an ancient game based on luck and tactic. The invention here adds new elements and changes to both the game components and rules of the game method and thus, it adds elements of surprise, luck, and tactics and thinking possibilities to the game, creating a new and improved game that can aptly name, Royal Backgammon®, Fig 1.
The preferred embodiment of the amusement device for its components and the recommended method for the game of invention, refers to the game and method of play for 2 players and use 32 game pieces arranged on a backgammon board as shown in Fig. 1 and 2 regular game dice that shown in Fig. 3, and it is also possible to have 4 regular game dice, 2 dice per player. Group of game pieces: The first group: 2 pieces, one piece for each player, which are symbolized is said in letter K (King) or/and form of king's crown.

The third group: 4 game pieces, 2 game piece per player, in which the symbolized is said in letter Kn (Knight) or/and form of knights helmet.
The fourth group: with 22 game pieces, 11 game pieces per player, where the symbolized is said in letter S (Soldier) or/and form of soldier's helmet.
The fifth group: 2 game pieces, one game piece per player, where the symbolized is said in letter Q (Queen) or/and form of Queen's crown.
The game board is divided into 4 areas - the "Kingdoms Area" described in Fig. 1, and the 2 areas, the neutral areas, between the kingdom areas.
Between the kingdoms area and the neutral areas, across the entire game board, there is a stripe called the Waiting Place described in Fig. 1. In this place there are game pieces that came out, as a result of being hit by the opponent's game pieces, during the game until they re-enter the game.
There is a place in kingdom area, for the Q-type game pieces described in Fig. 1 the Queen Place in cases the player can manages to insert such a game piece during the game.
Another element is the lucky dice, the Royal Dice® described in Fig. 2, with 6 sides marked with the following symbols: Side 1 – K (King) and Q (Queen), Side 2 - P (Prince) and Q (Queen), Side 3 - K (King) and P (Prince), Side 4 - Q (Queen), Side 5 - K (King), Side 6 - P (Prince) Effect of the result on the rolling the Royal Dice: 1. K & Q - The player move the king game piece from where he is on the game board, to available triangle (at the choice of the player) in his kingdom area. At the same time, the player inserts his queen game piece and places it in its marked place in his kingdom area. 2. K & P - The player move the king game piece and the prince game piece to available triangles (at the choice of the player) in his kingdom area. 3. P & Q - The player move the prince game piece, from where he is on the game board, to available triangle (at the choice of the player) in his kingdom area. At the same time, the player inserts his queen game piece and places it in its marked place in his kingdom area. 4. Q - the player inserts the queen game piece and places it in the mark place in his kingdom area.
. K - The player move the king game piece, from wherever he is on the game board, to available triangle (at the choice of the player) in his kingdom. 6. P - The player move the prince game piece, from wherever he is on the game board, to available triangle (at the choice of the player) in his kingdom, described in Fig. 1.
The purpose of the game is - remove all game pieces outside the game board.
Each player has to move all his game pieces to his kingdom area, as described in Fig. 1.
When all the game pieces are in his player kingdom area, he took them out of his kingdom area, outside the game board depending on the result of rolling the regular game dice. The player who first removes all his game pieces from his kingdom area, win the game.
Queen game piece do not participate in the course of the game across the game board, but affects the score result of the game.
The players, each in his turn, throw the 2 regular game dice and move his game pieces according to the score of rolling the dice. The player have the option to move one game piece according to the sum of the 2 points that came out of rolling the 2 dice, or move game pieces, each game piece according to the score of one of the dice.
The game pieces on the game board can only be moved to an empty triangle or to a triangle where the player's game pieces are already on this triangle. It is not possible to advance game pieces to the triangle occupied by 2 or more game pieces of the opposing player. The exception is the knight game piece, which can land on a triangle with 2 opponent game pieces (only 1 or 2 game pieces) and take them out to the waiting place and this is possible only in areas outside the kingdoms regions - in Neutral areas.
In other cases, the progress of the knight game piece is like all other types of game pieces.
If there is a situation where it is not possible to advance the one or two game pieces according to the score that came out in the dice, then the player is delayed and waits for his next turn.
He can return game piece/game pieces according to the result of rolls the dice, and waiting until he re-enter all his game pieces that are in the waiting place, and only after that he allowed, to promote the game pieces.
The rules for taking out the game piece / game pieces to the waiting place: When there is a single game piece in a triangle, any game piece of the opponent can take it out for waiting place. Rules of the waiting place: The player who has a game piece / game pieces in the waiting place can't move his game pieces in the game areas but after he inserting all his game pieces from the waiting place.
A game piece that is on hold on the waiting place can re-enter the game board and that is, to the opponent's kingdom area (the area opposite his kingdom area). The waiting game piece will re-enter to the game according to the score in of the dice thrown by him in his turn.
The game piece will enter to the opposite's kingdom area in the following cases: 1. The dice score is in empty triangle. 2. When there is only one opponent's game piece in the triangle that came out in the dice, he can hit the opponent's game piece from the triangle to the waiting place. 3. When the score came out in the dice on a triangle in which there are already game pieces of his.
If the triangles that came out in the dice score are occupied by 2 or more of the opponent's game pieces, then he loses his turn and does not re-enter the game piece / game pieces, and his turn passes to his opponent.
If a player comes out with 5:6 or 6:6 on the dice and there is game piece/s in a waiting place, he must first put his game pieces from the waiting place, according to the score, and he cannot throw the Royal Dice.
Rules of the game according to the dice results: The game pieces are move according to the results of the 2 dices thrown by each player in his turn.

If there is no game piece in that triangle then if there is a game piece in the kingdom area that can move forward then it will move from the highest triangle in the kingdom area and not removed. For example in a dice the score was 3 and the third triangle in the kingdom area is empty and there is a game piece in triangle 5 then, the game piece will move 3 forward to triangle 2. And if the score was 6 then the player removed the game piece from the game board.
The game Winner is the player who first extracts all his game pieces out of the game board.
The types of wins and scores are: Prince Win: One player extracted from his kingdom's area all his game pieces and the opponent player extracted only some of the game pieces and one off them is the king game piece and the prince game piece still in his kingdom area.
Score - 1 point.
King Win: One player extracted from his kingdom's area all his game pieces and the opponent extracted only some of the game pieces and one off them is the prince game piece and the king game piece still in his kingdom area.
Score - 2 points.
Royal Win: One player extracted from his kingdom's area all his game pieces and the opponent not yet taken out the game pieces of the king and the prince (this score is even when the loser has not removed any piece or few of them but not the king game piece or the prince game piece).
Score - 3 points.
The influence of the Queen, in case: 1. The two players managed to get the Queen into her place in the Kingdom area, so the score in favor of the winner would be like a game without a Queen (so the queen game game pieces neutralize each other). 2. Only one of the players has the Queen in his Kingdom area: If this is the winning player then the score in his favor will be the usual score dual 2: In Prince Win: 2 points, In King Win: 4 points, In Royal Win: 6 points.
