Claims

1. A process for coating vertical surfaces, especially for plastering walls* wherein a substantially non-aqueous composition which contains asbestos in addition to a self-setting unsaturated /polyester resin and conventional fillers, pigments and the like ingredients is applied to the surface and allowed to set thereon.

2. * Compositions for carrying out the process according to Claim 1, containing asbestos in addition to a self-setting polyester resin and conventional fillers, pigments and the like ingredients,

3. Compositions according to Claim 2, wherein the proportion of the ingredients is about 20 to 35$ by weight of polyester resin, about 2 to 10$ of asbestos, the balance being a conventional filler, e.g. sand, ground quartz, colouring pigments and the like.
