2.PATENT CLAIMS 1. A deflecting bend for conducting wastewater (A), comprising a first pipeline portion (1), which extends along a first, straight guide line (L1), a second pipeline portion (2), which extends along a second, straight guide line (L2), and a deflecting portion (3), which connects the first pipeline portion (1) to the second pipeline portion (2), wherein the deflecting portion (3) extends along a third guide line (L3), which third guide line (L3) connects the first guide line (L1) to the second guide line (L2), wherein the first guide line (L1) of the first pipeline portion (1) is at an angle of inclination ( ) ranging from 90° to 100° in relation to the second guide line (L2) of the second pipeline portion (2), wherein the first guide line (L1) and the second guide line (L2) define a vertical plane (VE), wherein a plane of inclination (NE) is defined by the first guide line (L1) and a reference axis (R), which reference axis (R) intersects the first guide line (L1) at right angles and is located at right angles to the second guide line (L2) and at right angles to the vertical plane (VE), wherein the deflecting portion (3) is formed from a plurality of sub-portions (4, 5, 6), which sub-portions each comprise associated guide-line portions (L4, L5, L6) of the third guide line (L3), and wherein at least one of the sub-portions (4, 5, 6) allows the guide line (L3) of the deflecting portion (3) to be deflected out of said vertical plane (VE) such that the wastewater from the first pipeline portion (1), as it flows through said sub-portion (4, 5, 6), is made to rotate about the third guide line (L3) and can be guided in rotation to the second pipeline portion (2). 2. The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the deflecting portion (3) is designed such that the wastewater (A) flowing through the deflecting portion (3) undergoes rotation in a direction which is identical to the direction of the initial deflection by the deflecting portion (3). 16 268410/
3. The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, as far as rotation about the said guide lines (L2, L3) is concerned, the wastewater (A) in the deflecting portion (3) always rotates in the same direction.

The deflecting bend as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said sub-portion (4, 5, 6), which allows the guide line (L3) of the deflecting portion (3) to be deflected laterally out of said vertical plane (VE), is additionally deflected out of the plane of inclination (NE) in the direction of the second pipeline portion (2).

The deflecting bend as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said at least one sub-portion (4, 5, 6) has a first sub-portion (4) in the form of a pipe bend (8) with a circular-arc-shaped guide line (L4), wherein the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L4) of the pipe bend (8) tangentially adjoins the first guide line (L1) of the first pipeline portion (1).

The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 5, characterized in that the end region (1b) of the first pipeline portion (1) and the starting region (8a) of said pipe bend (8) are located in a reference plane (BE) which is spaced apart from, parallel to, a first reference plane (RE), wherein the reference plane (RE) is defined by the front side (1a) of the first pipeline portion (1), and is at right angles to the first guide line (L1), and in that the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L4) is located in a reference plane (E8) which, in relation to the plane of inclination (NE), is pivoted through a pivoting angle ( ) of 10° to 70°, in particular of 30°, about the first guide line (L1) in the direction of the second pipeline portion (2), and/or in that the pipe bend (8) has a bend angle ( ) of 10° to 80°, in particular of 30°.

The deflecting bend as claimed in either of preceding claims 5 and 6, characterized in that the first sub-portion (4) is adjoined by a second sub-portion (5) in the form of a second pipe bend (9) with a circular-arc-shaped guide line (L5), wherein the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L5) of the second pipe bend (9) tangentially adjoins the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L4) of the first pipe bend (8). 17 268410/

The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L5) is located in a reference plane (E9) which, in relation to the reference plane (E8) of the first pipe bend (8), is pivoted by a pivoting angle ( 9) of 10° to 80°, in particular of 75°, about a pivot axis (S9) in the direction of the second pipeline portion (2), said pivot axis running in said reference plane (E8) and tangentially to the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L4) of the first pipe bend (8), wherein said reference plane (R9) is defined by the end region (8b) of the first pipe bend (8), and the circular-arc-shaped guide line (L8) of the first pipe bend (8) contacts the reference plane (R9) at right angles, and/or in that the second pipe bend (9) has a bend angle () of 45° to 90°, in particular of 72°.

The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the end region (9b) of the second pipe bend (9) of the second sub-portion (5) is located in a plane (E9’) which runs essentially at right angles to the vertical plane (VE), wherein the plane (E9’) is located preferably closer to the first pipeline portion (1) than to the second pipeline portion (2).
10. The deflecting bend as claimed in one of preceding claims 5 to 9, characterized in that a third sub-portion (6) adjoins the second sub-portion (5), which third sub-portion (6) provides a connection between the second sub-portion (5) and the second pipeline portion (2).

The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 10, characterized in that the guide line (L6) of the third sub-portion (6) is a polynomial line which tangentially adjoins the guide line (L5) of the second sub-portion (5) and which tangentially contacts the guide line L2 of the second pipeline portion (2).

The deflecting bend as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cross section of the deflecting portion (3) runs in an essentially constantly circular manner and corresponds to the cross section of the two pipeline portions (1, 2), wherein the third guide line (L3) runs on the center line running centrally through the deflecting portion (3). 18 268410/

The deflecting bend as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cross section of the deflecting portion (3) is partially increased by a cross-sectional increase (13), such that the cross-sectional area of the deflecting portion (3) is increased in relation to the first or the second pipeline portions (1, 2), respectively.

The deflecting bend as claimed in claim 13, characterized in that, as seen in cross section, and starting from the circular geometrical cross section (14) of the deflecting portion (3), the cross-sectional increase (13) extends in each case exclusively over a sub-region of the circular cross section (14), such that, as seen in cross section, a cross-sectional region with the original circular cross section (14) and a cross-sectional region with the cross-sectional increase (13) is created, wherein the guide line (L3) extends through the geometrical centers of the original circular cross section (14).

The deflecting bend as claimed in either of claims 13 and 14, characterized in that the cross-sectional increase increases the radius of the circular cross section by 5% to 20% or by 10% to 20%, and/or in that, as seen in the direction of the first guide line, the cross-sectional increase extends onto the side into which the sub-portion (4) of the deflection portion (3) is deflected.
