Abstract

Pipe clamp 100 for use with a pipe end 10 and a female pipe end 20 having an annular seal housing 22 for housing a seal 23 for sealing engagement with a pipe end on sliding insertion of the pipe end therein. The pipe clamp 100 includes a clamp member 101 having a longitudinal axis, a leading clamp member section 104 for snap fitting on the annular seal housing 22 on telescopically sliding the pipe clamp 100 onto the female pipe end 20 and a trailing clamp member section 106 for sliding insertion of a pipe end 10 therethrough for sliding insertion into the snap fitted female pipe end 20 and a sharp teeth arrangement 111 around the longitudinal axis and facing theretoward. The pipe clamp 100 includes a clamping device 102 encircling the trailing clamp member section 106 and being operable to tighten the trailing clamp member section 106 onto the pipe end 10 for radially inward urging the sharp teeth arrangement 111 to penetrate the pipe end 10.
