Abstract

Water heating means to be installed into a standard horizontal tank (6) with an opening in the centre area of the side wall of tank. It comprises of a flange (1) with two inclined sections (18 & 19). On each of the two inclined sections a heating element (2 & 3) and thermostat holder (4 & 5) (containing one or two thermostats respectively (14 & 15) are mounted parallel to each other. The design of the flange (1) enables one pair to point towards the upper inner part of the tank 6 and the other pair towards the lower inner part of the tank. By connecting it to a control panel, it allows for heating the upper layers of the liquid up to a certain temperature and only then heating the lower layers of the tank, or alternatively heating all the layers simultaneously.

Description

A SYSTEM FOR HORIZONTAL TANKS COMPRISING OF HEATING MEANS MOUNTED AT TWO INCLINES A SYSTEM FOR HORIZONTAL TANKS COMPRISING OF HEATING EANS MOUNTED AT TWO INCLINES Description Technical field The present invention relates to means for heating all layers of liquid in a horizontal tank in a controlled In the invention relates to means for heating liquid in a more efficient and economical Background of the invention Means for heating liquid in a controlled manner in horizontal tanks are These prior technologies aim to heat the upper layers of the tank and then followed by the lower layers For IL patent no 202877 by comprises of a heating element covered by a plastic envelope which separates water heated by the heating element from the cold water and directs hot water directly to the hot water exit It is mounted at an upward incline on an angular flange suited for horizontal The problem when heating water using an accelerator is which could reduce the effectiveness of the heating partial heating of the upper layer of the tank is dependent on the temperature of the liquid in bottom layer of US patent no 096 by Hall describes a heating system with 2 elements on one mounted in an upward incline in the The problem with this concept is that the elements are parallel to each other and do not respectively reach the top and bottom part of the horizontal It has one thermostat only and therefore cannot control the heating of both as most of the existing horizontal tanks have an opening in the centre of the side wall of the mounting the flange in that result in effective fast heating of both layers of the The purpose of the present invention is to provide a retrofit solution for horizontal tanks used for heating where the opening is located in the center of the side wall of the This solution includes controlled heating of all layers of the without the risk of additional accumulation case of heating Disclosure of the invention The invention relates to means for heating liquid in a horizontal comprising A flange with 2 inclined sections 2 heating elements mounted on the sections 2 thermostat holders mounted on the inclined sections 2 thermostats contained inside the said thermostat holders and connected to the 2 said heating On each one of the 2 inclined sections on the a heating element and thermostat holder containing a is mounted parallel to each It is mounted in such a way that one pair point towards the upper inner part of the tank and the other pair towards the lower inner part of the There are 2 ways to control the heating of the By using connected to the heating elements which are turn controlled by a control panel that is located in a place where desired options can be set By using thermostats connected to the heating elements which operate independently from a control panel with fixed set in The 2 heating elements can be operated different ways or according to the For heating the upper layers of the tank the upward pointing element should be operated It will be switched off by the thermostat when the set temperature is reached in the upper The in this are controlled by a control panel connected to This will result in fast heating of the liquid which is energy efficient due to partial For heating the upper layers of the tank first followed by the bottom the upward pointing element should be operated first and then followed by the downward pointing The in this are controlled by a control panel connected to This will result in fast hot liquid as well as an entirely heated tank after some time on the size of the For fast heating of all the layers of the tank both heating elements should be operated at the same The respective thermostats will switch off the heating element parallel to it when the liquid reaches the set For gradual heating of the tank or keeping a heated tank at the desired only the lower element should be The in this are controlled by a control panel connected to The invention will now be described in connection with certain preferred with reference to the following illustrative figures so that it may be more fully With specific reference now to the figures in it is stressed that the particulars shown are by way of example and for the purpose of illustrative discussion of the preferred embodiments of the present invention and are presented in the cause of providing what is believed to be the most useful and readily understood description of the principles and conceptual aspects of the In this no attempt is made to show structural details of the invention in more detail than is necessary for a fundamental understanding of the The description taken with the drawings is to make apparent to those skilled the art how the several forms of the invention may be embodied in Brief Description of Drawings 1 shows a sectional view of a horizontal tank with a side view of the inclined heating elements positioned inside 2 shows a frontal view of the flange with its components shows a view of the flange with its shows a frontal view of the flange with the heating elements and thermostat holders mounted on shows a view of the heating thermostat holder and thermostat inside the Detailed description of the Drawings 1 shows a horizontal tank 6 with the heating system mounted in the centre of the side of the tank The components mounted on the flange are upward inclined heating element 2 and upward inclined thermostat holder 4 parallel above Also shown is the downward inclined heating element 3 and downward inclined thermostat holder 5 parallel below Thermostats J 4 15 are located inside the two thermostat The flange 1 is fastened to the opening of the tanks with screws A sealer 7 is placed in between the opening of flange 1 to seal the shows a frontal view of the flange 1 without any components mounted on It comprises of slots 9 for fastening the flange 1 to the opening of the tank and two inclined sections 18 reference to the downward pointing inclined section 18 has a slot 10 for screwing heating element 2 and slot 1 for screwing thermostat holder The upward pointing inclined section 19 has a for screwing heating element 3 and slot for screwing thermostat holder With reference to the heating element 2 and thermostat holder as well as heating element 3 and thermostat holder are mounted on the two inclined sections 18 19 More the components are mounted in an upward and downward incline in order to reach the upper and lower parts of the FIG 4 5 also shows the heating element 2 sealed by sealer thermostat holder 4 by sealer 21 heating element 3 sealed by sealer 22 and thermostat holder 5 by sealer FIG 5 shows the thermostat 14 inside thermostat holder Thermostat is inside thermostat holder The 2 ways of controlling the operation of the heating system will now be explained in more detail with reference to the the case where both thermostats 14 are controlled by a control panel and can be set and activated according to the With reference to FIG when the upper layers of liquid in the tank 6 are heated the heating element 2 is singularly activated by the thennostat 14 inside thermostat holder 4 which is located above and parallel to it and reaches the upper part of the tank When the liquid is heated to the set temperature of thermostat it will switch off heating element The upper layer of the tank is heated and hot liquid escape the tank 6 through outlet The tank 6 is filled again with cold liquid from the inlet at the bottom of the For heating the upper layers of the tank 6 first and then the bottom the upward pointing element 2 should be operated When the liquid reaches the desired temperature set by the thermostat it will switch off that element followed by the activation of the downward pointing heating element When the set temperature at the bottom is the thermostat will switch off the heating element For gradual heating of liquid in the 6 only the downward pointing heating element 3 should be Once the bottom layer reaches the set thermostat 15 will switch it off the element This is also recommended for keeping a heated tank at the desired In the case where thermostats J 4 15 operate independently from a control panel with fixed set in Both heating elements 2 3 are operated When the set temperature is reached in the upper thermostat 14 will switch off heating element when the set temperature is reached at the bottom thermostat 15 will switch off heating element All layers will now be at the desired The advantage is fast heating of all especially the upper It will be evident to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the foregoing illustrated embodiments and that the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit of essential attributes The present invention is therefore considered in all aspects as illustrative and not the scope of the invention being by the appended claims rather than by the forgoing and all which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are therefore intended to be embraced insufficientOCRQuality
