Abstract

The system includes an excitation magnet (EM), only a single ferromagnetic component (FE) with a coil (SP or SP1) and an additional sensor component (SE) determining information concerning polarity and position of the excitation magnet (EM). At the instant (Ts) of triggering the ferromagnetic component, complete information is made available to determine the direction of motion of the excitation magnet.
