Abstract
The detector (3) has a release mechanism in a housing which can bleed the brake in the case of a derailment of the brake's air conduit (25). The detector is combined with an emergency brake (1) in the form of an emergency brake block (5). The release mechanism works opposite a valve (41,43) which, when not in use, is locked between a chamber (37) which guides the control line pressure of the emergency brake, and an outlet (54) to the atmosphere. The chamber is closed by way of a channel on the gate terminal (11) of the emergency brake valve. This is done in such a way that reduced pressure in the chamber triggers emergency braking operations of the emergency brake valve.
