Abstract

The invention makes it possible, in the case of a system (2) for coating can bodies, to make the space-consuming secondary treatment section unnecessary according to the state of the art, by use of a coating material which hardens quickly. Furthermore, the can body coating system (2) is itself considerably simplified in that the coating material is introduced untreated, in its basic form, until shortly before it reaches the preparation unit (41), i.e. it is not liquefied to make it suitable for coating until it reaches the said preparation unit (41). <IMAGE>
