Abstract

A waste management device (1) comprises a housing (2) comprising a top rim support (9). Side panels (5,6) and the top rim support (9) together define a front opening 915) and front hinged doors (7,8) cover the front opening (15) when closed. A top cover (10) is arranged such that when closed it is sloped downwardly towards the front for water run-off. This rims (18) are of dimensions suitable for receiving a standard sized refuse bag. A bag is secured to a rim by training the mouth of the bag up through the rim's opening and stretching it out to wrap it "inside-out" over the rim (18) in a stretch fit. The stretch fit over the rim (18) secures the bag (3) in place. The bags are filled by opening the top cover (10), and are removed by opening one or both front doors (7,8). <Figure 1>
