Abstract

1532294 Adhesive compositions UZINWERK GEORG UTZ KG and BISCHOF & KLEIN GmbH & CO KG 9 July 1976 [11 July 1975] 28648/76 Heading C3M Pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions which are solid at room temperature contain (by weight) 40-79% of a rubber, 4-30% carbonaceous filler, 4-30% silica filler, 2-8% zinc oxide, 2-10% oil, 4-20% of a phenolaldehyde condensate or resin, 4-20% of a thermoplastic aliphatic hydrocarbon resin, and 0À3-4% of a lubricant. The composition may be extruded on to a flexible support to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape useful for sealing cracks, gluing plywood, sealing tanks, securing bandages, insulating wiring and protecting metal pipes against corrosion. The adhesive may be admixed with a solvent to provide a primer composition. [GB1532294A]
