Abstract

Anthelmintics (I) are applied to the skin of an animal toether with a carrier permitting penetration of the skin by (I). Compsn. is pref. a liq. contg. a thickener; solvents include hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, alcohols etc. esp. DMSO and/or amyl alcohol. (R is H or 1-12C alkyl; R1 is 1-12C alkyl or R and R1 together complete a heterocycle and R2, R3, and R4 are each halogen). (I) can be easily and quickly administered without the need for equipment sterilisation. [FR2218886A1]
