1444580 Impulse transmitters INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 8 Nov 1973 [21 Dec 1972] 51865/73 Heading H4K In a dial mechanism for a subscribers set comprising a two part plastic casing enclosing the active components of the mechanism, these components all being plastics material except the drive spring, the contacts and the balance weights of the brake unit, the rear face of the front plate has an embossment having transverse slots into which the contacts are fitted, the contacts being forced into the slots and to penetrate the inner surface of the casing during assembly of the latter. As shown the dial mechanism is enclosed in a two part thermoplastics casing ultrasonically welded together. The plastics finger wheel 4 may be keyed directly on the shaft of the main gear 5 or may be provided with slots which engage projections on a disc on the shaft to allow the wheel to be changed. The mechanism is intended to be replaced as a whole when defective. [GB1444580A]
