Abstract
To avoid the use of rare metal electrodes in the manufacture of capacitors and hence to avoid firing of the conductive material, the particular end zone of the sintered ceramic object is provided with a metal-containing boundary layer. These boundary layers can then represent end electrodes and can also contain a ceramic material.
