1397248 Dentifrices BEECHAM INC 17 Oct 1972 [20 Oct 1971] 48671/71 Heading A5B Oral hygiene compositions (dentifrices, mouthwashes, toothpastes and the like) comprise conventional ingredients and, as sole or principal polishing agent, from 1 to 50% by weight of the composition of a silica xerogel having an average particle size of from 22 to 50 microns. The remainder of the composition consists of conventional materials, e.g. silica aerogels as thickeners, fluorine-containing compounds, flavours, foaming agents, softeners prophylactic and therapeutic agents.
