Abstract

A laminate is made using an aminoplast resin as adhesive and as light stabiliser a stilbene sulphonic acid salt of formula: (where R1 and R2 are NH2, NH-C2H4OH or N-(C2H4OH)2; R3 is a 3-substd. 1,2,4-triazole ring and X is H, alkali metal or ammonium. The aminoplast is pref. a melamine resin which may be mixed with polyvalent alcohols and/or polyvinyl alcohol under conditions such that no precondensation occurs. The laminate may be based on paper or fleece and used to make chipboard, plywood, etc. [DE1961590A1]
