Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition which can give a coated molding in which the adhesion of the coating layer to the base is improved by mixing a resin containing a thermosetting resin for forming the base with a monomer having an ethylenic double bond and a glycidyl group in the molecule. CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin (e.g. isophthalic acidderived unsaturated polyester resin) is mixed with a monomer having an ethylenic double bond and a glycidyl group in the molecule (e.g. glycidyl acrylate). The amount of the monomer added is desirably about 1-50wt.% based on the resin component of the thermosetting resin. The mixture is further mixed with necessary additives such as a filler, a reinforcement and a curing agent to produce a thermosetting resin composition for forming a base. This composition is packed in a mold and pressure-molded. A resin composition for forming a coating layer is poured into the mold after the mold is opened slightly, and the mixture is pressure-molded after the mold is shut to obtain a coated molding in which the coating layer is formed on the base [JPS532803A]
