[Also in Division F4] A mowing machine 24, which also dries the cuttings, see Division F4, has heating elements 26 fitted with burner jets 27, so that, after the crop has been cut by cutters 32, mounted on mowing discs 31, it is fed by rotor 40, and driver elements 42 via flow duct 43, to be dried in duct 25. The heat is adjusted so that no part of the crop is burnt, but the cells are burst open. An air blower (28) Fig. 7 (not shown) may be fitted if the burners use domestic fuel oil.
