Abstract

Process for cpds. of formula (I), and some cpds. (I): R = H, halogen, SH, CN, SO2alkyl, SO alkyl, alkanoyl, CF3CO, haloalkyl, SO2NH2, SO2N(alkyl)2, CONH2, CON(alkyl)2, OH, S-alkyl, O-alkyl, anisyl, Ph, NO2, phenethyl, alkyl, OCH2O, PhNH-, PhN(alkyl)-, alkylphenyl, N(alkyl)2, cyclohenyl, PhO, NH2, NHacyl, NHalkyl, or alkenyl. R may be substd. by Ph or naphthyl. R2 = OH, O-alkyl, O-alkenyl, O-alkynyl, cyclopropyl-methyloxy, alkoxyalkoxy, polyalkoxyalkoxy, dialkyl-aminoalkoxy, piperidinoalkoxy, 1-pyrrolidenylalkoxy, morpholinoalkoxy, 1-alkyl-2-pyrolidinyalkoxy, 1-alkyl-2-piperidino-alkoxy, N'-alkyl-N-piperazinyl-alkoxy, PhO, p-alkanoylaminophenoxy, phenylalkoxy, carbamylphenoxy, tetrahydrofurfuryloxy, dialkylamino-cyclohexyloxy, NH2, NHalkyl, N(alkyl)2, glucosamino, glycosylamino, alkenylamino, phenylalkylamino, haloanilino, 1-alkylpiperidinyl-2-alkylamino, tetrahydrofuryfurylamino, 1,2,5,6-tetrahydropyridino, morpholino, N'-alkyl-N-piperazinyl, piperazino, N-phenylpiperazino, piperidino, benzylamino, PhNH2, alkoxyanilino, NH(cycloalkyl), pyrrolidino, N-hydroxyalkylpiperazino, N, N-dialkylcarbamyl-alkylamino-, N, N-dialkylaminoalkylamino, 1-alkyl-pyrrolidino 2-alkylamino, N-carbobenzyloxyalkylamino, or a group OZ, where Z is a cation or the acyl portion of I(R2=OH). R',R3,R7=H, alkyl or Ph; R4,R5 = H, alkyl, alkanoyl, Ph, or guanyl if R5=H; R6,R8 = H, alkyl, alkenyl, Ph or -naphthyl opt. substd. by R, thienyl, pyridyl. Cpds. (I) are new provided that (a) if R6 and R8 = Ph, at least 1 of R, R', R3, R4, R5, R7 is not = H, and R2 is as above. (b) If R8 = Ph, at least one of R', R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, is not = H when R=H or Oalkyl and is any a single substit. (c) If R8 = H, and R=H, Hal, Oalkyl, NO2, or alkenyl, and is a single substit., then at least one of R', R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 is not = H. (d) If R4 = alkanoyl, at least one of R, R', R3, R5, R6, R7 is not = H, while R2 is as above and R8=H. Also the corr. cpds. III, IV, V, and process for II. [CH534138A]
