Abstract

1,200,490. Improvement in or relating to swimming pool. DYCKERHOFF & WIDMANN K.G. and IBACO BAU-COORDINIERUNGS G.m.b.H. & CO. K.G. 22 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966; 9 March, 1967], No. 58421/67. Heading A4N. A prestresssed-concrete indoor or outdoor swimming pool is characterized in that the walls and floor of the pool are composed of prefabricated concrete components which, after assembly and sealing of the joints, are combined into an integral structure by stressing with prestressing elements laid in prepared recesses. A swimming pool embodying the invention comprises wall elements 1 and floor slabs 2. The wall elements 1 are in the form of a cantilever retaining wall and each wall element is fixed to a floor slab 2<SP>1</SP>. The tiling 4 includes the lining, special ceramic blocks for a foot rest 5 and the entire pool rim 6 with the overflow gutter 7. [GB1200490A]
