Abstract

1,219,328. Zeolites. ESSO RESEARCH & ENG. CO. 18 March, 1968 [3 April, 1967; 24 May, 1967], No. 12917/68. Heading C1A. [Also in Divisions B1 and C5] A catalyst for hydrocracking petroleum products consists of the hydrogen or hydrogenprecursor form of a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite having uniform pore diameters, the crystal structure of a faujasite and a silica to alumina mol. ratio exceeding 3 plus 1 to 8% by weight of nickel and 3 to 18% of tungsten (calculated as metal) which may be sulphided. The nickel may be introduced by base exchange or by impregnation, the catalyst then being treated with ammonium tungstate to introduce the tungsten. The catalyst may be baseexchanged with rare earths. [GB1219328A]
