Abstract

Environmentally friendly fuel compsn. contains as main component fatty-acid-glycerol esters of plant or animal origin. - 1-20% proteins and/or lipids and/or phytosterols and/or cholesterol; 0.01-0.5% metallic soap; 5-30% fatty acid, 1-20 % water. Opt. the compsn. also contains stabilisers and bactericides. - The compsn. is prepd. in a single step from vegetable oils and/or animal fats, and/or effluent sludges contg. inorganic matter and/or detergent contg. waste fats- by subjecting these to steam at 100-130 deg.C and 0.6 mega Pa pressure for 15-16 mins. These compsns. may be used wth conventional fuels, directly.
