Radio immuno-assaying based on antigen - antibody reactions of 5-(S)-hydroxy-6-trans, 8 cis, 11 cis, -14 cis, -eicosatetranoic acid, (5-(S)-HETE), present in samples of biological media, is improved by application of 5-HETE-mono: iodo-tyrozine -methyl-ester derivs., marked by iodo 125 isotope, as radio ligands or tracers of high specific activity.
