Abstract

There are three alternatives for the disposal of phosphorus-contg. industrial waste, mainly: (a) Waste of the consistency of treacle is homogenised with acetic acid and heated to 100-125 deg.C. and treated with acetic-anhydride at this temp. Part of the acetic acid solvent is distilled off and the prod. is purified by blowing steam through opt. followed by neutralisation; (b) industrial waste is treated with water at first, followed by treatment by a cpd. contg. amino gps., and finally by a carbonyl cpd., the cpd. is pumped by blowing steam through it; (c) 20-30% of the phosphorous acid content of the waste is converted by acylating cpds. present in the waste followed by treating the remainder of phosphorous acid by amine-contg. cpds. and carbonyl
