Abstract
Zinc electrode assembly for silver-zinc chemical electricity sources comprises a metallic outlet lead (1) a separator (2) enveloping the assembly and a zinc active cpd. (3) inbetween (1) and (2). Cpd. (3) is impregnable or is impregnated by electrolyte. - The electrode assembly also contains a fibrous, thin, flexible sheet-like structure (4) prepd. from cellulose, cellulose derived fibres or synthetic fibres pref. of polyamide, P/P, PVC or PTFE or a mixt. of these. This structure (4) situated between (1) and (2) traverses at least half of the cross section of the ionic current developing between (1) and (2). The structure is either impregnated or impregnable by electrolyte and at least one of its surfaces is in contact with the electrode's active zinc cpd. (3). (-pp Dwg.No.1/1)
