Refined and preserved proteins of animal and/or vegetable sources are prepd. for human consumption from concentrates or extracts, to which a binder of 60-80 wt.% aq. glucose soln. is added. Opt. the mixt. also contains additives of vegetable origin at 0.5-2 wt.% concn., (bio-flavonoids, flavourings, colourants and vitamins). The mixt. is gently dried at 40 deg.C. Opt. it is moistened by 5 wt.% of 96 vol.% alcohol.
