Abstract

A composition comprises essentially amorphous cellulose nanofibrils, carboxylated cellulose with a degree of substitution less than or equal to 0.95 as additive, and optionally at least one co-additive. The content of additive and optional co-additive is less than 30 weight % based on total weight of nanofibrils and additive(s). Also claimed is a suspension of cellulose nanofibrils obtained by dispersing the above composition. The suspension preferably has a rheo-fluidising type rheological profile.
