Abstract

The diameter of the fibers (d) is between 0.38 and 1.05 mm, the total length is between 19 and 80 mm, the length of the end parts (I,I') is between 1.5 and 4 mm; the transverse displacement (h, h') between the middle part (11) and the end part (12) is at least 0.75 mm. Furthermore, the angle (a, a') between the guide part (13) and the central part (11) is at most 160°. The minimum tensile strength of the fibers is 900 N/mm2; per cubic meter of concrete, the concrete mix contains between 180 and 400 kg of hydraulic binder, between 90 and 150 l of water, between 25 and 60 kg of metal fibers, and up to 1.8% of the weight of the hydraulic binder, plasticizer and/or setting delay additive. The essence of the proposed procedure is to create a concrete layer from a fiber-reinforced concrete mixture compacted with a cylinder, the bending strength of which changes continuously in a wide range of crack opening sizes, for example, with opening sizes between 0 and 4 mm, but without breaking the fibers.
