In order to be able to open the stand-up packaging container without tools and to produce it simply and cheaply, according to the invention, a thermally welded peelable joint between the top wall (3) and the side walls (12, 32, 42, 52), which is formed between the upper edge part (16, 36) of the upper wall (3) and the upper edge part (15) of the adjacent side wall (2).
