A légijármű hajtómű-elrendezése legalább két egymástólfüggetlen, egymással szinkronizált, azonos vagy hasonlóteljesítménnyel rendelkező motort foglal magába, amelyek mindegyike alapátokat forgató aggregátok közös tengelyére hat, és a két motorbármelyikének kiesésekor a kiesett motort a közös hajtótengelytől egyeszköz leválasztja.
