Abstract

A találmány tárgya homeoboxgének PALE-szekvenciaosztálya arostnövények rosttulajdonságainak szabályozására. Az osztályba tartozógének által kódolt fehérjékben egy öt aminosavas hurokmeghosszabbodástalálható, amely az 1.és a 2. hélix között általában egy QKIK-motívumot, a 2. hélixben pedig egy ITXE-motívumot tartalmaz, amelynémileg megtöri ezt a szerkezetet. Továbbá, a HD N-terminális karjábanidőnként megfigyelhető egy WTP-motívum is. A találmány tárgyát képezika rostnövények sejtdifferenciálódását szabályozó homeodomén-fehérjék.A találmány tárgyát képezik továbbá a találmány szerintiszekvenciaosztályba tartozó gének és izolált DNS-szekvenciák,alkalmazásaik rostnövények rosttulajdonságainak szabályozására,eljárások megváltozott tulajdonságú rostokat termelő transzgénikusrostnövények előállítására és maguk a transzgénikus rostnövények.
