During the process according to the invention, for the production of such liquid-tight floor coverings, at least one liquid-tight film layer (23) is preferably applied to a base (17) of a concrete slab or asphalt pavement as an insulating layer (13), preferably by mechanical spraying, and it is fixed to the base (17) by mechanical bonding, then on the liquid-tight film layer (23) a wear layer (15) mechanically attached to it is created.
