Description
The invention relates to a silding door system hayfhii id inner door ieaf and an outer door ieaf according to the preamble of claim 1, which is known from FR22G9884 for example.
In this case, it is provided that at least one door leaf is horizontally dlspiaceabte between a dosed position and an open position, and that the door leaves are each formed of a ieaf frame and at ieast one glass element. A first vertical frame profile, a second vertical frame profiled and a horizontal upper frame profile form the door opening in which the door leaf is horizontaiiy displaceable. At ieast one first seal which is fixed to a frame profile and which rests on the leaf frame of the hdrizontaiiy movable door leaf slides along the latter during displacement.
The terms of inner door ieaf and outer door leaf refer here to the installation position, wherein it is not essential in the context of the present invention which door leaf is arranged on the inside and which door leaf is arranged on the outside. The above distinction serves primarily to facilitate the -explanation of the invention.
The sealing of door ieaves in sliding door systems is generally problematic. With rubber seals, a very good seai can he achieved, but the sliding resistance is great when moving the door leaves. Particuiariy disturbing in this case is the sometimes extremely high breakaway resistance, in particular when a door leaf has not been moved for a long time,
Brush seais aliow a displacement of door ieaves with little force expenditure, but come with the disadvantage of a reiativeiy low sealing effect and frequently cause undesirable noises during displacement.
The above problems are particuiariy troublesome in the case of lifting and sliding doors in which a ieaf to be moved must first be lifted before displacement is possible. When Sifting, it is not only necessary to overcome the weight of the leaf but also the resistance to friction of the seais,
Flock'-treated seais are already known per se in window construction, For this purpose, for example, rubber coatings in the region of the sealing surface are coated with a fibre-containing material in order to reduce frictional resistance. Such solutions have been described, for example, in DE 92 12 96? U or in DE 75 10 829 U, It is known from EP 1 574 658 A to use fiock-treated elastomer seals in order to reduce the resistance during displacement, without substantially impairing the sealing effect. However, It has been found that the seal is inadequate far high demands.
It is the object of the present invention to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a solution which ensures easy dispiaceabiiity,
According to the invention, these objects are achieved by the features of ciaim 1,
In particular, it is provided that a second seal is provided, which is exclusively engaged in the dosed position, and that the second seal is designed as a flock-treated elastomer seal,
Within the scope of the present invention, preference is given to using polyester fibres for flock treatment. The fineness is typicaily in a range of I dtex to 4 dtex with an average fibre length of b . 5 mm. It is important to have low scatter, so that the standard deviation of the fibre length should be only about 0.01 mm to dvdiS mm.
If has been found that it is possible to use such a technology aiso in the area of sliding boors.
With the solution according to the invention, it is possible to achieve the now required strict tightness values for sliding doors and nevertheless achieve an extreme ease of movement with very low noise development.
In this case, the lock-treated seals are moved primarily perpendicular to the sealing surface,
Preferably, the horizontally movable door leaf is designed as a iift-and-siide leaf, In a sliding door system of this type, the movable door leaf must first be lifted before the displacement in order to be brought into the open position in the raised state. In such a system, the horizontal sealing surfaces can be sealed exclusively or additionally by soft rubber seais which are not necessarily to be designed as fiock-treafe^ elastomer seals because the lifting takes place perpendicular to the sealing plane and thereafter no contact with the opposing component occurs. For this reason, such sliding door systems are preferably used for high demands
In a particularly preferred embodiment variant of the invention, it is provided that the dock-treated elastomer seal is designed as a circumferentia! seal. Although it is theoretically possible, as described above, to equip the horizontal sealing surfaces with conventional rubber coatings, the corner regions always represent weak points in the sealing. With circumferential seals, these weak points can advantageously be avoided.
Preferably, a vertical frame profile has a push-fitted auxiliary frame which carries a first flock-treated elastomer seal, The basic profile of the frame can be designed as standard so that an auxiliary Iramé must be provided only in the relevant areas. Any conventional type of positive and/or non-positive connection, such as snapped-on, screwed on or the like, shall be meant here with respect to push-fitted,
Id an analogous manner, it can aiso be provided that the horizontal frame profile has a push-fitted auxilary frame which carries a second flock-treated elastomer seal.
It is particularly preferred in this context if the first and the second flock-treated eiastomer seais are formed in one piece, Owing to the fact that the eiastomer seal is formed in a continuous manner, a reliable: sea!i is thus also achieved In the corner regions.
In particular, it is favourable if both the inner and the outer door leaf are horizontally displaceabie, and that each door leaf carries a third flock-treated eiastomer seal, which extends perpendicularly in the operating position and sits close to the respective other door ieaf at least in the closed position. Thus, a reliable seal can also be achieved between the two door leaves.
Preferably, each door leaf has a push-fitted auxiliary profile, which is mounted on a vertically extending section of the ieaf frame and which carries the third fiock·* treated eiastomer seal.
In order to also substantially reduce the frictional forces when the door ieaf is lifted, it is advantageous if fourth flock-treated eiastomer seais are additionally provided which extend perpendicularly in the operating position and which seal the door leaves against each other in the dosed position thereof,
It is particularly preferred if the first seal or the second seal interact with surfaces which stand at a right angie with respect to one another. In this case, the first sea! is typically in sliding contact whiie the second seal seals an end face of a movable leaf, ft has been found to be particularly favourable that at least at one end face of a door leaf two substantially symmetrical flock-treated eiastomer seals are provided. As a resuit, an optimum seal can be achieved in pressure differences in both directions.
The Invention is explained in closer detail below by reference to the embodiment shown in the drawinisy wbereioi

Fig. 1 shows a vertical frame profile .1., which consists of a hasic profile la and clipped: auxiliary profiles lb and 1c,
Fig. 1 shows a horizontal frame profile 2, which consists of a basic profile 2a and auxiliary profiles 2b and 2c that are dipped onto said basic profile.
The auxiliary profile 2b extends oniy up to the centre of ihe frame and then adjoins a fixed leaf (not shown here). In alternative embodiment variants with two movabie leaves, the auxiliary profile 2b is omitted.
In a corner region (not shown), the frame profiles 1 and; 1 are screwed together, with a; continuous horizontal frame.
An inner door leaf 3 is shown horizontally displaceable in Fig. 1 to Fig. 3 in the closed position. Fig, 2 shows, for dariCy* the Sifted position, The leaf frame 5 of the inner door leaf 3 is located on the auxiliary profile ic of the frame profilé i and is sealed by seals 8a and 8b, which are designed as a fiock-treated elastomer seai. It is provided to not only lift the ieaf vertically at the beginning of the opening movement but at the same time horizontally away from the frame. Due to this oblique movement, the seal is relieved from the beginning of the movement, so that the resistance is reduced. Moreover, it is advantageous for the cpfnefS to be formed when the seals 8a and 8b are formed In the same manner as horizontally extending seals 14 and 14a, which are mounted In the upper frame profile 2. A fiock-treated elastomer seai 9, which is mounted in the auxiliary profiie :1.b, rests on the centre-oriented surface 5a of the ieaf frame 5, namely in the edge" side vertical section,
Analogously to this, a further flock-treated elastomer seal 10, which is mounted in the auxiliary profile 2b, rests on the upper horizontal section on the centre-oriented surface 5a of the loaf frame 5. Ä third fiock-treated eiastomer sea! 11 rests on the middle vertical section at a centre-oriented surface 5a of the leaf frame 5. A third elastomer seal 11a is provided symmetricaiiy thereto, which, In an analogous manner, rests on the leaf frame 6 of the outer door leaf 4.
The third fiock-treated eiastomer seals 11, lia are fastened to auxiliary profiles 3a, 4a, which are push-fitted onto the leaf frame 5, 6 of the door leaves 4, 5 and are screwed together.
In addition, fourth flock-treated elastomer seals 12, 12a are provided, which seal the two^ auÄar^ profiies 3a, 4a against one another on the face side.
Further seals 13, M and 14a are arranged in the upper horizontal section of the leaf feme 5 in order to produce a seal against the auxiliary profiles 2h and 2c in the lowered: position of the door leaf 3.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4, an inner movable door leaf 3 is dispiaceabiy guided in a frame 20, and an outer, non-movabie door leaf 4, or one provided for non-operative movement thereof, is fastened therein. The frame 20 is composed of an upper frame profile 21, two lateral frame profiles 22, 23 and a iower frame profile 24.
Fig, 5 shows the situation in the region of a lateral, vertical frame profile 23 in detail. On the vertical frame profile 23, a first auxiliary frame 23a with a snap-on connection is fastened in the outer region. In the inner region, a second auxiliary frame 23b is also fastened with a snap-on connection. The inner door leaf 3 with its leaf profile 5 is shown here In the closed position in which it rests on the second auxiliary frame 23b, Two symmetrically designed second seals 25a, 25b are mounted on the end face of the leaf profile 5, which seais are designed as flock-treated elastomer seals and which rest on the second auxiliary frame 23b and additionally have a sealing Up which cooperates with a projection iying in the plane of the door ieaf 3. A first sea! 35, which is designed as a brush seal, is attached to the first auxiliary frame 23a, which cooperates with a side face 5a of the leaf profile 5 and slides along this side face 5a at the beginning of an opening movement of the inner door leaf 3. This first seal 35 represents an additional seal in the closed state, wherein the sealing effect alone is less than that of the second seals 25a, 25b, However, there is the advantage that sealing is aiso provided when the inner door ieaf 3 is not completely dosed and that the friction during the opening movement is very iow.
Fig. 6 shows a section in the region of the upper frame profile 21 which is intended to guide or hold the door leaves 3, 4 on their upper side. The inner door ieaf 3 is located in this case in a closed and lowered position. Two auxiliary frames 21a and 21b are also attached to this frame profile 21. A first seal 36, which is designed as a brush seai and cooperates with a side face 5a of the ieaf frame 5, is attached to the first auxiliary frame 21a in a manner analogous to that described above. fn this region, the door leaf 3 carries a total of three second seais 26, 27a ahi 27b, namely a lateral seal 26, which is mounted on an auxiliary frame 5b protruding laterally outwards from the leaf profile 5, and two main seals ¢:230,.27b< The lateral seal 26 lies in the closed and lowered position on the top of the first: auxiliary frame lta< The two main seals 27a, 270 also seal from above by being supported on lateral projections of the second auxiliary frame 21b.
Fig. 6a is analogous to Fig. 6, with the difference that the door leaf 3 is shown in the lifted state. Since the embodiment shown here is a lift-and-slide system, the door leaf 3 is first lifted before its opening, in order to be able to be displaced thereafter*
It can be seen that ail three second seals 26, 27a, 27b are lifted off their opposing sealing surfaces, so that a displacement of the door leaf 3 is not counteracted. The second seal 36, however, remains engaged.
Fig, 7 shows another section of the upper frame profile 21 in the region of the outer door leaf 4. In this section, a slightly modified third auxiliary frame 21c is fitted instead of the first auxiliary frame 21a, The second auxiliary frame 21b is unchanged. The second seals 28a and 28b seal the leaf frame 6 against the third auxiliary frame 21c.
In Fig. 8, the eonnecion of the outer door leaf 4 with the associated lateral frame profile 22. is shown, Mere, too, two second seals 29a and 29b are provided for sealing.
Fig, 9 shows the inner door leaf 3 in the closed and lowered state in the region of the lower frame profile 2.4. The lower frame profile 24 is designed in several parts and has an outwardly bevelled surface 24a with a drip nose 240, The leaf profile 5 has a generally known lifting mechanism in this region with wheels 40'In-order to initiaiiy lift the inner door leaf 3 and then to displace it in a low-friction manner. Second seals 30a, 30b are fastened in the leaf profile 5 and rest on the lower frame profile 24 from above.
The representation of Fig. 9a corresponds to that of Fig, 9, with the difference that the inner door leaf 3 is lifted. It can be seen that, the two seals 30a, 30b are lifted from their opposite faces and thus do not hinder the displacement, A further section of the lower frame profile 24 is shown in Fig 10. Ih this case, an auxiliary frame 24c Is inserted, which surrounds the leaf frame i of the outer door leaf 4. Second seals .31 a and 31b seal the leaf frame 6 against the auxiliary frame 24c.
It should be noted that the second seals 2Sa, 2Sb; 26a, 2âb| 27a, 27b have been described separately here, hut they can be formed in a continuous manner at the corners of the inner door ieaf 3, f.e, they can he integrally formed in order to avoid any defects in the corners. The same applies to the outer door leaf 4.
Fii, 11 finally shews the connecting region between the two door leaves 3 and 4, Auxiliary profiles 3a, 4a formed in a similar manner are attached to the two leaf frames 5, 6, to which brush seals 37, 38 are fastened which cooperate with the respectively opposite leaf frames §r§, In addition, the sea) is produced by means of second seals 32a, 32b which, as always, are designed as fioch-treated elastomer seals and are already lifted from the opposite sealing surface at the beginning of the opening movement.
The situation shown in Fig, 11 is gild given when both door leaves 3, 4 are designed to be movable.
In the embodiment shown In Fig, 12, two frame profiles 42, 43, which are verticaily aligned, are arranged at an angle of 904 to each other, A connecting profile 44 with approximately quadratic cross-section is connected to the two frame profiles 42 and 43 by snap-on connections. The door leaves 3, 4 are each dispiaceabiy mounted and rest on the frame profiles 42, 43. Flack-treated elastomer seals 33a, 33b, 33c and 33d ensure the sealing in the closed state, and, in addition, brush seais 39a, 39b are provided which are arranged analogously to the embodiments shown above.
Fig. 13 shows an embodiment in which a turn-and-tilt leaf 46 is additionally arranged laterally next to the door leaf 3, wherein the Illustration corresponds to that of Fig. 6. An auxiliary frame 45 is mounted on the lateral frame profile 23 in which the turn-and-tilt leaf 46 Is mounted. The sealing is produced by means of flock-treated elastomer seais 34a and 34b,. as well as by means of a centrai sea! 47.
An embodiment with a skylight is shown in Fig. 14. An upper frame profile 48 extends above a skylight 50, which is designed so as to be tiitabie. An auxiliary frame 49 is fastened to the upper frame profile 48 and carries two dock-treated elastomer seais 51a, 51b and a centrai seal 52.
The present invention makes it possible to ensure reliable sealing, In paFticulaf bf displaceable door leaves, but at the same time to maintain the ease of displacement.
