Abstract

The circuit breaker includes the mechanism which prevents a short circuit locking the circuit breaker solid. The mechanically driven arm (44) drives the drum. The drum drives an arm (39) in turning opening and closing the contact breaker arm (34) and contacts (31,33). The drum has a circular notch in it (45) holding a solid section (47). When the drum and the solid section separate, because of the contacts solidifying a mechanical chain of events is initiated to apply a predetermined force above that required to break the solidified contact connection.
