Claims (13)

1. Način za povećanje proizvodnje utrživog sjemena kukuruza iz polja za proizvodnju hibridnog sjemena, koji se sastoji od: (i) utvrđivanja sadržaja vlage u sjemenu; i (ii) tretiranja spomenutog sjemena sredstvima za defolijaciju, pri čemu se vrijeme tretiranja zasniva na sadržaju vlage u sjemenu, pri čemu je % vlažnosti sjemena između 35 % u 70 % u vrijeme tretiranja.
2. Način za razvoj sjemena kukuruza iz polja za proizvodnju hibridnog sjemena, naznačen time, što spomenuto sjeme kukuruza ima povećani postotak klijanja, stopu nicanja i/ili povećanu ujednačenost nicanja u uvjetima u polju, pri čemu se spomenuti način sastoji od: (i) utvrđivanja sadržaja vlage u sjemenu; i (ii) tretiranja spomenutog sjemena sredstvima za defolijaciju, pri čemu se vrijeme tretiranja zasniva na sadržaju vlage u sjemenu, pri čemu je % vlažnost sjemena između 35 % u 70 % u vrijeme tretiranja.
3. Način prema zahtjevu 2, naznačen time, što spomenuto sjeme raste u stresnim uvjetima u polju.
4. Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time, što se defolijacija vrši pomoću kemijskih sredstava.
5. Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time, što se vrši više tretmana defolijacije.

Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time, što obrano sjeme ispoljava, u odnosu na kontrolno sjeme, jednu ili više od sljedećih karakteristika: raniju žetvu, smanjenu vlažnost prilikom žetve, smanjeni zahtjev sušenja nakon žetve, veću dosljednost u veličini, poboljšan postotak klijanja ili stopu nicanja u laboratorijskim stresnim uvjetima, poboljšanu mehaničku sadnju, povećani postotak nicanja ili stopu nicanja u uvjetima u polju, ujednačenije nicanje u uvjetima u polju, manji broj zaostalih ili zakržljalih sadnica i povećan prinos zrnja.
9. Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time, što se sjeme žanje između 20 % i 45 % vlažnosti.
10. Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time što se % vlažnosti sjemena između 50 % u 70 % u vrijeme tretiranja.
11. Način prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 3, naznačen time, što biljka sadrži transgenični događaj kojim se prenosi osobina odabrana iz skupine koja se sastoji od muškog steriliteta, rekombinacije specifične za mjesto, tolerancije na abiotski stres, izmijenjenog fosfor, izmijenjenih antioksidansa, izmijenjenih masnih kiselina, izmijenjenih esencijalnih aminokiselina, izmijenjenih ugljikohidrata, otpornosti na herbicide, otpornosti na kukce i otpornosti na bolesti.
12. Način za smanjenje broja odbačenog sjemena iz polja za proizvodnju sjemena kukuruza, koji se sastoji od: (i) utvrđivanja sadržaja vlage u sjemenu; i (ii) tretiranja spomenutog sjemena sredstvima za defolijaciju, pri čemu se vrijeme tretiranja zasniva na sadržaju vlage u sjemenu, pri čemu je % vlažnosti sjemena između 35 % u 70 % u vrijeme tretiranja.
13. Način prema zahtjevu 12, naznačen time, što je odbacivanje velikog sjemena i/ili malog sjemena smanjeno
