Claims (2)
1. Verfahren zum Abschließen einer optischen Glasfaser, bei dem die optische Faser (13) in einer Durchführung (12) in einer Zwinge (11) eingeklemmt wird, wobei ein Endbereich (26) des Kerns der optischen Faser in einer Bohrung (15) in dem Zwingenende (17) aufgenommen wird und über das Zwingenende hinausragt, gekennzeichnet durch folgende Schritte: Abtrennen des vorstehenden Endbereichs (26) zur Schaffung einer optischen Stirnfläche in einem vorbestimmten Abstand von dem Zwingenende (17), und radiales Quetschen der Zwinge (11), um die Zwinge (11) relativ zu dem Kern der optischen Faser (26) nach vorne zu bewegen, so daß das Zwingenende (17) bündig mit der optischen Stirnfläche angeordnet wird.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch Festklemmen der optischen Faser (13) in der Durchführung mittels einer Kunststoff-Quetschhülse bzw. eines Kunststoff-Spannfutters (14), die bzw. das ein mit einem Innen-Klemmgewinde (16) an der Zwinge (11) zusammenwirkendes Außen-Klemmgewinde (24) aufweist, und durch Aufbringen der radialen Quetschkraft um die Schraubgewinde (16, 24).
