Abstract

The present invention aims at revealing a method for the production of FeCISO4 according to DIN 19602/2.87, using widely commercially available raw materials that are friendly to the operator, such as 30-37 % hydrochloric acid, dense 60-99 % sulphuric acid and hematite (trivalent iron oxide) of a Fe2O3 content of at least 90 % w/w in power form of a size distribution less than 1 mm in an acid resistance pressure reactor.According to the method the reaction product must be finally adjusted for conformance to the specification of the to DIN 19602/2.87 standard and the AWWA B407-93 standard (for free acidity).
