Abstract

Made of modulated steel plate. It is divided in three main sections. a) Mechanical retention - water cascade. In this section the major part of the dye's particles cloud (up to 8A) is retained. It comprises a water closed circuit with a tap 0,5 HP. b) Physical retention: special bag filters (POCKET FILTERS) with cross - section 50x100 total development 12M2 for maximum retention of particles smaller than 8A (up to 5A). Three rows of end filters (FINE FILTERS) assure 99 percent cleanness. c) Chemical retention: activated carbon BOX filter for retention of the very small cloud particles that produce odour. The BOX's dimensions are 1,30x35x3 and the activated carbon is in granules. The pressure drop of the filters is counterbalanced by a double centrifugal fan that is located at the outlet of the filter unit. Depending on the flow ability of the furnace onto which the unit is connected, the unit may be equipped with a fan providing 14000M3/H to 18000M3/H flow and a motor from 5,5 to 10HP. The connection of the unit is done through an automations panel at the furnace control panel in order to assure operation of the two machines at the same time. The dimensions of the unit are 1,5 x 1,5 x 2,30m and the those of the inlet - outlet are 0,30 x 1,40.
