Abstract

A heat exchanger for generating hot water with oil or gas burners is described, pipe coils (18, 19) coiled in two layers being provided in a vertical arrangement and in this case the flame cone being introduced into the region of the pipe layers from one side of the heat exchanger. In order to achieve easy mounting, demounting and maintenance, it is envisaged that the pipe coils (18, 19) form an axial holding device for the burner casing (1) and the protective casing (2), there being arranged at the front on the heat exchanger an insertion connection (7) and at the rear a centring bead (36) on the burner casing (1), and the burner casing (1) furthermore being surrounded in a hood-like manner by a protective casing (2) which closes off the burner casing (1) at the rear, the protective casing (2) being extended through by a tension rod (37) and, for centring, a cover (33) being arranged on the tension rod (37), which cover reaches around the protective casing (2) and the bead (36) with an offset edge, and furthermore the burner casing (1) being closed at the front at the insertion connection (7) by a cover (3) and the protective casing (2) having a front plate (9) which reaches around the protective casing (2) at one insertion connection (10), the centring of cover (3) and front plate (9) or of burner casing (1) and protective casing (2) taking place via the water inlet (12) or outlet (15) pipe. <IMAGE>
