Abstract

The invention relates to a collecting and transport container, especially for waste products, having at least one filling and emptying opening, which can be closed by a lid, and having devices for setting down and lifting up during transportation. The object is to provide a container of this type, which, having an economic construction, ensures a high degree of safety during transportation on different means of transport, including a loading and unloading terminal, and can be emptied and cleaned satisfactorily. For this purpose, provision is made for the container (1) to have an approximately cylindrical central part (1a), having a cylinder axis which is approximately horizontal in the operating position, and at least one end wall (4) which is embossed on the outside. Mounted in the end wall (4) at the top is a large domed nozzle (6), the opening (8) of which encloses an angle of between 5 - 30 DEG with the cylinder axis and the lowest point of the opening (8) lies above the highest filling level (A) in the operating position. The large domed nozzle forms a filling and emptying opening which, compared to a lid, forming the entire upper surface in known containers, offers the advantage of limited size and, for that reason, and due to its shape offers greater security in respect of sealing off and arresting.
