Abstract

A rotating extendable car’s shade allowing via a suitable mechanism the extension and rotation of an additional section covering the disadvantages appearing in existing car’s sun shades, such as direct exposition of drivers and co-drivers to sun radiation passing through certain angles and blind points not protected so far by the existing car’s sun shades.

Η παρούσα εφεύρεση αφορά σε ένα επεκτεινόμενο και περιστρεφόμενο σκίαστρο αυτοκινήτου με διάταξη ανάπτυξης συμφώνως προς την κύρια έννοια της αξιώσεως ευρεσυτεχνίας 1. The present invention relates to an extendable and rotating car shade with a deployment device according to the main concept of patent claim 1.

Στα υπάρχοντα σκίαστρα αυτοκινήτων η κίνηση αυτών περιορίζεται σε κίνηση μόνον έμπροσθεν και αριστερώς (δεξιώς) του οδηγού (συνοδηγού) χωρίς δυνατότητα επέκτασης του σκιάστρου στις αυτές κατευθύνσεις. In existing car sunshades, their movement is limited to movement only in front and to the left (right) of the driver (passenger) without the possibility of extending the sunshade in these directions.

Αυτή η αδυναμία των υπαρχόντων σκιάστρων καθιστά την οδήγηση άβολη και συνάμα επικίνδυνη μιας και ο χρόνος "επαναφοράς" του ματιού από απότομη έκθεση σε ηλιακό φως είναι αρκετά μεγάλος και εν γένει θέτει σε κίνδυνο το πλήρωμα του οχήματος αλλά και τα λοιπά οχήματα και τους επιβάτες αυτών. This weakness of the existing sunshades makes driving uncomfortable and at the same time dangerous since the "recovery" time of the eye from sudden exposure to sunlight is quite long and generally endangers the crew of the vehicle as well as other vehicles and their passengers .

Με την παρούσα ευρεσυτεχνία το ανωτέρω πρόβλημα επιλύεται αναπτύσσοντας το επεκτεινόμενο (και συνάμα περιστρεφόμενο) τμήμα του σκιάστρου, ώστε επιτυχώς ο οδηγός του οχήματος (ή ο συνοδηγός) να προστατευθούν επαρκώς από την ανεπιθύμητη ηλιοφάνεια και τα αποτελέσματα αυτής στην όραση και την ικανότητα ασφαλούς οδήγησης. With the present patent, the above problem is solved by developing the extendable (and at the same time rotating) part of the sun visor, so that the driver of the vehicle (or the passenger) can be adequately protected from unwanted sunlight and its effects on vision and the ability to drive safely.

Η λύση του προβλήματος επιτυγχάνεται με την ανάπτυξη και κατά το δοκούν περιστροφή του σκιάστρου στη θέση εκείνη που επιτυγχάνεται μέγιστη ηλιοπροστασία του οδηγού (συνοδηγού) όπως επιδεικνύεται και στα σχήματα 1 και 2. The solution to the problem is achieved by deploying and during the test rotation of the shade to the position where maximum sun protection of the driver (passenger) is achieved, as shown in figures 1 and 2.

Το εν λόγω σκίαστρο διαθέτει εσωτερικά περιστρεφόμενο ρουλεμάν 2 θέσεων (πάνω-κάτω) καθώς και αυλάκι κίνησης της επεκτάσεως μέσα-έξω από το κυρίως σώμα, όπως επιδεικνύεται στο σχήμα 3. The shade in question has an internally rotating 2-position bearing (up-down) as well as a groove for moving the extension in-out from the main body, as shown in Figure 3.

Κατά συνέπεια ο οδηγός (συνοδηγός) πέραν της παρούσης χρηστικότητας των σκιάστρων μετά της κινήσεως έμπροσθεν και αριστερώς (δεξιώς) μπορούν μέσω της επεκτάσεως και περιστροφής αυτής να καλύψουν τυχόν "τυφλά" σημεία και να προστατευθούν. Consequently, the driver (co-driver) in addition to the present usability of the sunshades after moving forward and left (right) can, through its extension and rotation, cover any "blind" spots and protect themselves.

Claims

1. Extendable and rotatable driver/passenger car shade, which consists of the main body of the sunshade and an extendable and rotatable part. The extendable and rotating part is extracted from the main body of the shade using the opening lever.

The rotation of the extended body is done with the help of a two-position bearing located in a groove inside the main body.

2. An extendable and rotatable driver/passenger car sunshade according to claim 1, wherein the 2-position bearing is made of light metal alloy (e.g. synthetic magnesium alloy) or light and durable plastic (e.g. polyethylene) to avoid a large increase in weight and life span .

3. An extendable and rotatable driver/passenger car sunshade according to claim 1 & 2, wherein the 2-position bearing has a notch/channel in the attachment portion with the main body of the sunshade for rolling in the rolling groove.

4. An extendable and rotatable driver/passenger car sunshade according to claim 1 to 3, wherein the 2-position bearing has 2 "locking" positions inside, upper and lower respectively.

5. An extendable and rotatable driver/passenger car sunshade according to claim 1 to 4, wherein the extendable and rotatable part carries a rear view mirror to compensate for the coverage of the corresponding fixed part of the vehicle when the first one is fully extended.
