Abstract
Novelty: the invention relates to locking device connected between the acceleration pedal and the electronic control unit of the vehicle’s engine (HME). Function mode: the vehicle’s acceleration pedal transmits to the electronic control unit an analog signal corresponding to the pedal’s position: when the locking device is operating at the locking position (LOCK MODE),it forwards to the control unit the modified output signal approximately corresponding to the free pedal’ s position, limiting thus the possibility for the vehicle to move; when in the PARKING MODE, the locking device forwardsto the electronic control unit the modified output signal not exceeding a fraction of the maximal speed of the engine so that the vehicle is in position to move at low speed, solely; when in REDUCE MODE OR SPEED MODE, the electronic locking device modifies the input signal and forwards a signal to the electronic control unit so that the vehicle can move more slowly or faster than in the absence of said electronic locking device. Embodiment: the invention finds application to the electronic locking of vehicles which are driven via electronic signals (with electronic acceleration pedal).
