Abstract
Πολυβάθμιο σύστημα αφαλάτωσης χαμηλής ενθαλπίας που αποτελείται από εν σειρά συνδεδεμένα εξατμιστήρια (1ν) αποτελούμενα από συμπυκνωτές (cv) εγκατεστημένους σε ενιαίο επίπεδο στην κορυφή ενός πύργου(40), με τους αντίστοιχους θαλάμους εξάτμισής τους (ev) να αναπτύσσονται σε προοδευτικά χαμηλότερα επίπεδα, συνδεδεμένοι με τους συμπυκνωτές (cv) μέσω κατακόρυφων αεραγωγών (2ν) προοδευτικά αυξανόμενου ύψους. Το σύστημα στηρίζεται στον εκρηκτικό βρασμό θαλασσινού νερού που έχει θερμανθεί σε θερμοκρασία ελάχιστα χαμηλότερη του σημείου βρασμού, και έχει εισαχθεί σε περιβάλλον χαμηλότερης πίεσης. Χρησιμοποιείται παθητικό κενό που δημιουργείται με την εφαρμογή της ατμοσφαιρικής πίεσης και της βαρύτητας. Η κλιμάκωση της πίεσης (ρν) επιτυγχάνεται με τη σταδιακή αύξηση του όγκου των εξατμιστηρίων. Ηαπαερίωση επιτυγχάνεται με το δυναμικό κενό που δημιουργείται σε εκχυτήρες (12, 13a, 13b) που χρησιμοποιούν σαν βοηθητικό μέσο το παραγόμενο αφαλατωμένο νερό και την απορριπτόμενη άλμη.
