Abstract

Novelty: mechanical solar tracker. Constitution: a vertical column 1, a horizontal arm 2, two end arms 3, a motion transmitting arrangement (reducer and rod 4), moving frames 5 whereon the photovoltaic panels 6 are fixed, and two electric reducers (fig.1). Technical features: the vertical column -characterised by low height, conical cross section and greater support seat- can give solution to problems issued from the high gravity centre of the typical solar trackers. Wind pressure is faced by division of the surface of the frame 5 into smaller surfaces (see herein separation of said surface into 3 separate frames 5). In the occurrence of hail fall, the surfaces of the moving frames 5 can acquire an absolute vertical position.
