Abstract
Novelty: floatable converter transforming the dynamic energy of sea waves into compressed atmospheric air. Constitution: the floats 7, the mechanisms 8, and the pistons 12, which pistons form -in conjunction with the tubular air chambers and other known shipbuilding means- a floatable self-acting construction. Function: the vertical oscillation of the float 7 causes the reciprocation motion of the piston 12 so that when the float 7 passes through the zero level, the piston 12 can reach the upper dead point 15 of the cylinder 13, the suction and compression phases being carried out at other positions. Part of the compressed air is stored up into the tubular air chambers for use by the system itself while the remaining compressed air is conducted -via submarine piping- to selected desired places, at a land-based central unit converting the compressed air energy into electric or other kind of energy.
