Abstract

Ο αρθρωτός μηχανισμός παραγωγής ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας από θαλάσσια κύματα αποτελείται από τρεις επιμήκεις πλωτήρες διατεταγμένους παράλληλα, οι οποίοι αρθρώνουν μεταξύ τους, όπως ο μεντεσές. Κατά τη λειτουργία του ο μηχανισμός ακολουθεί την κυμάτωση της επιφάνειας της θάλασσας, παραλαμβάνοντας έτσι τη διαφορά του υψομετρικού δυναμικού των κυμάτων, την οποία μετατρέπει σε ενέργεια μέσω των μοχλών που διαθέτει. Κατά την κίνηση των πλωτήρων( 1-8-9), οι οποίοι συνδέονται μεταξύ τους μέσω άξονα (2), δημιουργείται μία σχετική παλινδρομική κυκλική κίνηση του άξονα με το σταθερό σώμα του μεσαίου πλωτήρα (1), όπου με τη μεσολάβηση ειδικών ρουλεμάν καστάνιας(ΙΟ), μετατρέπεται η κίνηση σε συνεχή και μεταφέρεται μέσω ενός στροφάλου(3) στις γεννήτριες(11) ηλεκτρικού ρεύματος: το οποίο, μέσω υποβρυχίου καλωδίου, οδηγείται στην ξηρά.
