Abstract
A method for biological treatment of underground water containing iron, manganese and arsenic, for the simultaneous removal thereof, is disclosed. Iron and manganese are removed by oxidation caused by iron-and manganese-oxidation microoganisms,and the asrenic can also be oxidized by the same micoorganisms, at the same time with the iron and manganese, be adsorbed on the iron and manganese oxidew and removed from the underground water. The invention can be used for the simultaneous removal of iron, manganese and arsenic from underground water without using chemical reagants.
